The Fair Mortgage Collaborative is a non-profit educational, research and consumer information organization. Our mission is to educate consumers about predatory lending practices, help them avoid predatory lenders and brokers and enable them to obtain safe, fairly-priced loans. We are a non-profit, funded by the Ford Foundation, and we’ve been working for years to make mortgages safe for consumers. The Fair Mortgage Collaborative is here to help you cut through the confusion and be a better mortgage shopper. We were formed by lending advocacy groups, academics and foundations, and our sole goal is to provide you, the borrower, with the tools you need to find a safe and fair mortgage.
