The Fair Mortgage Collaborative (the “Collaborative”) is a nonprofit membership organization whose members are individually and collectively committed to educating the public about loan products and practices, and providing low- and moderate-income and minority homeowners and homebuyers access to suitable mortgages, with the consumers’ best interest in mind and at a fair rate of compensation.

Our members are nonprofit loan brokers, lenders, loan counseling organizations, loan aggregation organizations, fair lending advocacy organizations, foundations and funders. Our members are leaders in the fields of fair access to capital and collectively work to prevent and remediate predatory mortgage lending practices.

Among other services, we disseminate educational materials about predatory and fair loans and lending practices, identify and certify adherence to fair and safe lending standards, allow certified lending organizations to use the trademarked Fair and Safe certification mark, and promote the recognition of the Fair and Safe brand.
